Welcome to the website of the Lone Pipers Band!
The Lone Piper Band is an international pipe band formed in the beginning of 2016. Amiens was organising their 2016 event in remembrance of the battle at the Somme 1916. As we were not allowed to play solo Tasha, Tim, Kevin and Matt decided to form a band of their own. The idea was to gather individual pipers and drummers from all over the world. Thanks to the hard work of Tasha we managed to form a complete band and we were allowed to play at the “United Pipers for Peace” festival.
Amiens 2016
After Amiens 2016 our ranks grew. We now have gathered players from all over the globe. From South Africa to the Netherlands, from Italy to the US, from England, Scotland and Ireland to Belgium and France.
We played at Amiens 2016 and Amiens 2018 remembrances. We played at the Normandy beaches in 2019 at the 75th D-Day remembrance as well as in 2023.
And now, some future activities are planned for 2024!

The Lone Piper Band est un pipeband international formé au début de 2016. Amiens organisait une commémoration pour la bataille de la Somme en 1916. Les candidats solistes ne pouvaient pas participer, donc Tasha, Kevin, Tim et Matt ont décidés de former un pipeband d’eux même. L’idée était de rassembler des pipers et drummers des 4 coins du monde. Grâce à la persévérance de Tasha, les Lone Pipers étaient nées et pouvaient jouer à Amiens pour la commémoration “The United Pipers for Peace”.
Après Amiens 2016, nos rangs ont agrandi. Actuellement, nous sommes +65 membres de partout du globe ! De l’Afrique du Sud jusqu’aux Pays Bas, d’Italie jusqu’au Etats Unis, Angleterre, l’Irlande, l’Ecosse, la Belgique et la France.
Depuis Amiens 2016, nous avons joués aussi sur la deuxième édition de “The United Pipers for Peace” en 2018 et ensuite sur les plages de Normandie en 2019 pour la 75iéme anniversaire de l’embarquement D-Day et en 2023.
Maintenant, nous planifions des activités pour 2023 !
